How to play
The Grim Reaper explains most of the rules in game, but here is some clarification of the various phases and mechanics:
- Draw Cards > You and the Grim Reaper draws cards up to 5 at the start of every round
- Play Cards > Cards can be put to the battlefield if you can pay for them. The price is indicated on the card. You and the Grim Reaper will take turns playing cards as long as you want to and can afford it.
- Battle > When both players have played their cards, battle will take place. In the battle, the strength and health of all cards are combined and compared to the other players strength and health. The players will take damage equal to the amount of damage not stopped by enemy health.
- Deal damage to cards > In addition to damaging the other player, your army will also damage the other army. The total strength of all your cards will be equally split between enemy forces, those that can not defend against the damage will be discarded
- Gambit Card > The Grim Reaper also holds a gambit card that can be played on their turn without cost. The gambit card is a special card that alters the rules of the game when activated. At the start of every turn, the coin is flipped. The coin will decide if the rule change on the card will activate or not. Red side, means the card is activated and the rules change. Green side means no alteration of the rules this turn.

Maybe missing something, but it looks like when I spam cards on my turn really fast, I can place multiple cards in one turn and it skips the Grim Reaper's moves entirely if I run out of coins, making the game go into battle stage. When I do this, Grim still has money and the message "I end my turn" does not appear, so I think its a bug? Anyways, great game, love the concept. Reminds me of Inscryption too, which is a plus (the looks, atleast).
Thank you for the feedback, and for playing. :)
I -think- that the scenario you're describing is when the Grim Reaper has already ended his turn. Then you are able to play as many cards as you want before going to battle. The turns end as soon as you place a card but if the Grim is ready for battle you may have another turn, and another, if you require. But the more cards you put down the less you will earn on turn start. But yeah, it's perhaps a little diffuse, it's still a jam-version. I will put it on my list to make this more clear in an eventual update. :)
Sorry if I misunderstood your issue, but thank you very much for the feedback. :)
Yeah, that does make sense haha. Thanks for the reply, can't wait for the next update!
:D <3
Please, make a downloadable version for PC.
cool will there be more
Thanks! Probably - the version as it is now is just a game-jam version. I am in need of an artist to design better cards and stuff. Without that, I feel there's not enough potential value I can add to it. But I hope it'll be more! :)
I see more then enough potential to get started.
Interesting game.
Thanks a lot for playing! ^^
